The Pipeline Engineer II/III/Sr/Expert plays a critical role in delivering EQT’s midstream capital projects—from concept through commissioning.
This position ensures that pipeline systems are designed and executed to meet the company’s standards for safety, reliability, efficiency, and environmental compliance. The engineer will integrate design, regulatory, construction, and operations inputs to develop technically sound and cost-effective solutions that enable EQT to move gas safely and efficiently to market.
Responsibilities
include but are not limited to: Project Engineering Design Execution Lead the technical design of gas gathering and transmission pipeline projects.
Requirements
into detailed design packages aligned with EQT specifications and industry standards. Project Delivery Coordination Partner with project managers to support all project phases - scoping, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Interface with land, regulatory, environmental, and operations teams to ensure design compliance and execution readiness.
Regulatory Environmental Stewardship Ensure all designs meet applicable codes, standards, and environmental regulations. Risk Management Technical Assurance Identify design and constructability risks early and recommend mitigation strategies. Champion design standardization, continuous improvement, and lessons-learned integration across EQT’s pipeline projects.
Required Experience and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Petroleum, or Chemical (or related discipline). 3+ years of experience in natural gas and/or natural gas pipeline or facility design. Clear, concise communicator with strong technical writing and documentation abilities.
Deep commitment to safe, responsible, and fit-for-purpose engineering. Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel regularly to field locations. Knowledge of GIS tools and inspection management platforms.
Autodesk experience preferred. Work Location: This position will operate in a hybrid capacity, with work occurring from home, in the field (across our operating area), and in the office. Selected incumbent will be placed into the position that best suits their abilities and experience level.
