OVERVIEW The Sales Manager is responsible for leading the daily sales operations of the showroom while driving revenue growth, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and developing a high-performing sales team. This role oversees showroom sales activities, coaches and mentors sales associates, ensures operational excellence, and partners with leadership to achieve sales goals and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day sales operations of the showroom and ensure a best-in-class customer experience. Coach, mentor, and develop showroom sales associates to achieve individual and team sales goals. Monitor sales performance, open orders, quotes, and customer follow-up to maximize conversion and revenue.
Train and onboard new sales team members on products, sales techniques, company processes, and customer service standards. Establish sales priorities and ensure consistent execution of company policies and procedures. Approve pricing, discounts, and promotions within established guidelines.
Resolve customer concerns and escalate issues as appropriate to ensure customer satisfaction. Partner with the Regional Sales Manager to develop sales strategies, forecast sales performance, and identify growth opportunities. Maintain showroom presentation standards and ensure the showroom is clean, organized, and fully merchandised.
Coordinate with operations, warehouse, shipping, and customer service teams to ensure a seamless customer experience. Build and maintain relationships with designers, builders, fabricators, contractors, and other key customers. Represent the company at networking events, industry functions, and customer meetings as needed.
Manage scheduling, staffing, performance coaching, and ongoing development of showroom employees. Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
3–5+ years of sales leadership experience, preferably within the stone, tile, flooring, building materials, or home design industry. Demonstrated success leading and developing high-performing sales teams. Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
Excellent customer relationship management and conflict resolution abilities. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally as needed.
