Position Overview The Profit Center Manager will oversee the Hunt Valley group within Water and Natural Resources. This is a diverse profit center that includes natural resource service lines such as stream restoration, wetland mitigation, coastal resilience, National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), and research and development.
The PCM will review and support staff in daily decisions such as go/no-go opportunities, proposal development, staffing, and scheduling. Additionally, the PCM is responsible for financial planning and strategic expansion of service lines.
Responsibilities
• Manage resources, projects, and work with clients to ensure quality of work products. • Participate in cross-profit center and business unit collaboration. • Provide overall management of staff assigned to the profit center and leadership on hiring decisions.
• Manage and lead technical staff of scientists and engineers. • Lead proposal preparation and prepare cost estimates and bids. • Evaluate new business leadership within EA structure.
• Staff development and technical performance of the profit center. • Work collaboratively with other profit center managers within the WNR business unit at the direction of the business unit director (BUD). • Prepare annual financial and new orders plans.
• Participate in decisions to evaluate new business opportunities. • Monitor project reviews and stay in tune with project needs and demands. • Assist EA execute the company strategy and support our core values and initiatives.
Note: This position will be hybrid remote with two to three days in the Hunt Valley office. Only candidates who live near the Hunt Valley office or those who are willing to relocate within the first two months of starting, will be considered.

Required Qualifications
S. degree in science or engineering or related field, Graduate degree preferred. • 10 years or more of related professional experience.
• Proven track record of managing and leading technical staff and teams of technical staff, working with staff from other offices and business units. • Demonstration of expanding/building service line(s) in support of growing expertise and financial position of staff. Note: This position requires specific driving duties.
