About The Role
: The Safety and SQF Coordinator supports both the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety (SQF/BRC) programs across all regional Source Logistics sites.
Requirements
Reporting to the Safety, OSHA and Quality Manager and will collaborate with Operational Regional Managers, and Site Leadership. This position requires frequent travel to all sites to support onsite assessments, training, corrective actions, audit readiness, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Support traceability exercises, mock recalls, hold/release program checks, and allergen control verification. • Train employees on SQF basics, GMPs, hygiene expectations, and food-safety procedures. • Partner with the Quality team to review CAPAs, verify implementation, and ensure sustainable compliance.
• Monitor housekeeping and sanitation processes to ensure alignment with SQF and customer expectations. • Assist with vendor approval, visitor management, and documentation control as needed.
Responsibilities

• Conduct regular workplace inspections to identify and assess chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic, and operational hazards. • Develop, recommend, and help implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce risk and prevent workplace incidents. • Support incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action followup.
• Educate employees on safety protocols, hazard recognition, and emergency response procedures. • Prepare and deliver training programs to enhance safety awareness and compliance. • Promote a positive safety culture through engagement, coaching, and reinforcement of safe work practices.
• Collect and analyze EHS data, including incident rates, near misses, and safety observations. • Utilize EHS management software for monitoring, reporting, and ensuring accurate and complete data.
• Conduct routine food-safety, sanitation, and hygiene inspections across all warehouse areas, including storage, dock operations, pest control, and employee practices. • Assist in maintaining SQF documentation, including program updates, verification records, supplier documentation, training files, and corrective actions.
