WELDER III - B SHIFT Based out of Rocket Lab Headquarters in Long Beach, California the Welder III will weld and fabricate various fluid systems and sub-assembly components for the Rutherford and Archimedes Rocket engines.
WHAT YOU’LL GET TO DO: Follow procedures to set up and operate our welding systems. Weld assemblies according to work orders, blueprints and verbal instructions. Follow blueprints and meet product specifications within tight tolerances.
QUALIFICATIONS
AS A WELDER III: 5+ years of experience in welding with a focus on advanced techniques. Experience in industries such as Aerospace, Automotive, Shipbuilding, or Construction. 1).
Proficient in various welding techniques, including manual GTAW(TIG), OTW (Orbital Tube Welding), Laser Welding, Lathe Welding. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols. 250.
WOULD BE
NICE TO HAVE
: Experience with welding on different materials such as Inconel, Monel, Stainless 300-400 series. Experience working with 3D printed parts and exotic alloys. Experience in metal fabrication and assembly.
Experience with Deburring and using pencil grinders. Capable of doing welding fit ups. Capable of supporting the grinding department.
CERTIFICATIONS Certified Welder. Certifications in specialized welding processes (TIG / Brazing process). , Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Titanium, and Inconel).
REQUIREMENTS
: Willing to work Monday - Thursday (3:15pm - 1:45am) Stand and walk for entire shift (8+ hours) on various work surfaces Climb ladders and work at elevated height small spaces, awkward positions, and tight areas as needed Perform repetitive motions including bending, twisting, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, and stooping Use hands with precision to handle, control, and operate tools, instruments, and equipment Lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment up to 25 lbs.
