About The Team

, Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol, Retail). Our Central Ops team has three major mandates: to effectively onboard merchants, fulfill every order with speed accuracy and improve our logistics network. We are able to do this by identifying efficiencies, building product tooling and launching operational processes at scale.

You will own metrics, pull operational product levers and drive impactful results across our Grocery, Convenience, Alcohol and Retail businesses.

About The Role

We are looking to build out our team with an Associate who will focus on a variety of strategic and operational initiatives on the New Verticals Central Ops pod. You will lead the scoping, go-to-market, and iteration of cutting-edge product features to help DoorDash improve order quality and selection across our Convenience, Grocery, Alcohol, and Retail businesses. You will work on high-impact operational and product initiatives — from improving in-store tooling and technology to strengthening selection coverage and inventory accuracy.

Your work will be highly visible, and involves partnering with the Machine Learning, Engineering, Product, and Data Science teams. You will sit in the Central Ops group within our New Verticals Strategy Operations organization and report into a Manager. This is an individual contributor position.

Lead : You will help lead cross-functional work streams of Engineers, Data Scientists and Designers to develop best in class product features that will enhance the quality of New Vertical deliveries Own : You love owning problems end-to-end.

You are excited to experience our operation firsthand to inform your strategy. You have 1-3+ years of experience. Ideally in consulting, strategy, operations, technology, banking, food beverage, high-growth startups, etc.

You solve problems from first principles. You’re excited to think innovatively, and you resist “this is how it’s always been done” thinking. You have a completed Bachelor’s Degree.
