Anduril Industries — Costa Mesa California
S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold.
Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Maneuver Dominance team at Anduril develops operationally relevant, multi-asset autonomy. We are focused on making large groups of autonomous systems work effectively together. We leverage existing Anduril drone platforms like Ghost or Altius, in addition to bringing 3rd party platforms into Anduril’s Lattice ecosystem.
ABOUT THE JOB Robotics Engineers lead the delivery of vehicle perception and planning capability integrated in to our products, acting as technical leads, extremely senior individual contributors, and/or as team leads that are also hands-on contributors. This includes systems analysis, sensor selection and integration, perception architecture and implementation, motion planning, health management, behaviour analysis, simulation and test infrastructure, and interfaces with lower- and higher-level systems. We expect Staff Robotics Engineers to demonstrate unparalleled end-to-end outcome ownership, driving the rapid architecting, design, delivery, support, and evolution of safe and effective vehicle autonomy on Anduril’s autonomous platforms through their entire product life-cycle.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own customer success through the design and delivery of a multi-year, multi-stakeholder software roadmap that spans across multiple teams Leverage internal product and program-specific engineering teams to rapidly deliver capability beyond the scope of current platforms, with a clear path for both architecture and capability evolution over time Partner with external teams, collaborating on interfacing
Requirements
between diverse systems and technologies Lead teams that architect, design and implement trusted safe navigation, collision avoidance, and situational awareness systems that balance constraints, restrictions and
in a multi-stakeholder environment Drive the development and implementation of sensor suites, perception algorithms, planning algorithms, and test fixtures to deliver safe navigation and effective operation of Anduril’s autonomous vehicles Perform high impact IC work in architecture and implementation across the whole perception and planning stack Utilize advanced techniques in computer vision, sensor fusion, and machine learning to enhance perception and planning capabilities of Anduril vehicles Conduct thorough testing and validation of perception and planning algorithms through development and use of simulation and analysis of data from real-world experiments, including evolving the data analysis tooling.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience 3+ years of experience in C++ and/or Python software development.
