Maintenance-in-Training (MIT) technicians will work closely with a Maintenance Mentor to learn all aspects of the Maintenance Technician role including equipment installation troubleshooting, repairs and preventative maintenance in order to ensure the property and grounds are meeting the company’s established standards and any applicable laws. Upon successful completion of the Maintenance-in-Training Learning Plan, trainees will move into a Maintenance Technician position. The property you complete the program at may not be the same property you move to once in a Maintenance Technician role.
Movement is based on current Maintenance Technician openings.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience: Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience in a related work environment (construction, maintenance, general labor) AA degree or certification in mechanical, HVAC, electrical or industrial maintenance (preferred) Skills and Abilities : Fluent in English and skilled in oral and written communication Ability to use tact and diplomacy in a clear, courteous manner when dealing with co-workers and the public Excellent decision-making, problem solving, and time management skills Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects or tasks simultaneously with self-direction Ability to openly accept feedback and display a willingness to learn Ability to perform assigned tasks with some work dire
