Role overview As a core member of the Search Platform team(SPT), this Software Engineer II will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts and product managers, to guide projects from concept through technical design, implementation, testing, and performance measurement.
This person will also develop and deploy clean, well-tested, efficient, and production-ready code, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
What You’Ll Do
Work in a multi-functional team with data analysts, product managers, and of course, other engineers. Participate in whiteboard sessions and design conversations on engineering the best solution to the challenges at hand. Test out new insights with novel and quick experiments.
Iterate rapidly and deploy changes daily. Collaborate with and be mentored by seasoned engineers. Improve search and data access experience and performance for millions of users across millions of cars globally.
Ensure reliable and timely production support for mission-critical SPT applications, maintaining optimal performance and addressing high-priority incidents with efficiency. What you’ll bring 2+ years of professional software development experience. Familiar with Java (preferred) or similar language.
Experience with concurrency, multi-threading, web applications and event driven architectures. Proven expertise in optimizing application performance through the design and implementation of efficient caching strategies and performance improvement techniques. Data-driven when making decisions.
Experience in Search Engine Framework is preferred. The displayed range represents the expected annual base salary / On-Target Earnings (OTE) for this position. On-Target Earnings (OTE) is inclusive of base salary and on-target commission earnings, which applies exclusively to sales roles.
Individual pay within this range is determined by work location and other factors such as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This annual base salary forms part of a comprehensive Total Rewards Package.
