Public Policy Manager, State and Local

Based in New York City, this position will manage our local NYC policy efforts. This policy expert will work directly with elected officials, policymakers, and key stakeholders. They will deal with a range of political, regulatory, and government issues that are critical to the company.

Responsibilities

: Execute Lyft’s legislative, regulatory, and political strategy. Represent Lyft in all interactions with electeds, government officials and staff Track legislation relevant to Lyft at municipal and county levels Work cross-functionally with Lyft senior management on developing public policy priorities Work closely with Lyft’s Legal, Compliance, Communications, and Marketplace teams on developing market strategy Track and respond to government inquiries and requests on policy issues Partner with policymakers from across the political spectrum in the best interests of rideshare drivers and riders Inform company stakeholders and lines of business on legislative and regulatory developments Manage external consultants to assist with key Lyft policy priorities Manage strategic relationships with external stakeholders and third party organizations based in NYC.
