AEVEX — Huntsville Alabama
The Public Company Tax Director leads all tax strategy, tax accounting, compliance, and reporting activities for the Company. S. GAAP, maintains compliance with federal, state, and international tax laws, and partners closely with Finance, Legal, and external advisors to optimize the Company’s global tax profile.
Requirements
, including SOX controls and SEC-related tax disclosures. Essential Functions: Tax Accounting & Reporting (ASC 740) Oversee preparation and review of quarterly and annual income tax provisions. Ensure accurate deferred tax asset/liability recognition and valuation allowance assessments.
Manage tax footnote disclosures for SEC filings (Form 10-K, 10-Q, S-1 if applicable). Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404). Tax Compliance Lead all federal, state, local, and international tax return activities.
Manage tax audits and inquiries; respond to regulators as needed. Ensure compliance with evolving tax legislation—including BEPS Pillar Two, state nexus expansion, and global intangible low-taxed income (GILTI). Tax Strategy & Planning Evaluate and implement strategies to optimize effective tax rate (ETR).
Support M&A due diligence, structuring, and post-acquisition integration. Partner with Treasury, Legal, and FP&A to advise on business initiatives and entity structure. Monitor emerging tax laws and model impacts to the business.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration Manage external provider relationships. Collaborate with Accounting, Legal, HR, and Operations to ensure tax compliance across business processes. Present tax matters, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership and the Audit Committee (as applicable).
Perform other duties as required. Regular and reliable attendance on a full time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule]. Education / Certifications Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field CPA strongly preferred. Experience 10+ years of progressive tax experience, including public company experience.
