Requirements

Key Responsibilities
Design and develop patterns for puppet costumes using flat patterning and basic draping techniques Sew, alter, and assemble costume components, ensuring alignment with the production’s visual style and performance needs Construct internal supports, structures, or undergarments to enhance costume durability and functionality Perform on-set repairs and adjustments as needed, including quick changes and emergency fixes Follow detailed construction notes to replicate costumes precisely.
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in costume fabrication, a background in film, theater, or television is a plus Proficiency in both hand and machine sewing, with strong alteration skills Ability to follow instructions and replicate designs with precision Competency in pattern-making and garment construction techniques Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to make quick fixes on set Good knowledge of textiles and fabric care Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Experience working with Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop is a plus Time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing production schedules Ability to collaborate effectively across departments and communicate clearly Familiarity with Clo or similar pattern-making software is a plus but not required Team player with good communication and collaboration skills Willingness to learn, and take direction Physical
