The opportunity now is to join a rocketship as we prepare for the next stage of growth, and an eventual public listing. This role is onsite 5 days a week in Fremont, CA Job Duties: • Month-end closing: Lead month-end closing process and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial statements and management reports including investigating and resolving unusual variances; monitoring compliance with Accounting principles and internal controls; partnering with Accounting and AP to reconcile expenses, review accruals, and maintain reporting accuracy. • Financial Performance Reporting: Analyze monthly and year-to-date financial and operational performance; prepare detailed month-end, quarterly, and annual reporting packages and Board; investor materials; develop executive-level presentations highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Financial amp; Data Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify revenue, margin, and cost drivers; develop insights and leading indicators to inform strategic decisions; design and enhance dashboards and reporting tools to improve business visibility. • Financial Planning; Budgeting: Lead forecasting, budgeting, and annual planning processes for revenue and operating expenses; build and maintain bottom-up financial models and 3-statement model; perform scenario and sensitivity analyses to support planning and resource allocation decisions. • Financial Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting workflows; lead program development in SAP to enhance operational expense tracking, regional and segment profitability reporting, and overall financial accuracy; transparency; drive efficiency initiatives within the Finance function by automating tasks using SQL and Tableau.
• Cross-functional Partnership: Collaborate with Operations, Supply Chain, and Merchandising teams to improve cost visibility and financial discipline; support planning cycles, performance reviews, and ad hoc analysis; provide actionable recommendations to optimize spending and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements
: Job entails working with and requires bachelor’s degree in finance or related fields with Candidate must have 2-years professional experience in: • Strong analytical thinking amp; data-driven problem solving • SQL and BI tools proficiency (Tableau / Power BI) • Large-scale data analysis amp; financial systems expertise (SAP familiarity preferred) • Cross-functional financial support (Operations / Supply Chain / Merchandising) Employers will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience. Employer will accept a bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in one of the requisite fields followed by 2 years of experience in the position Financial Analyst or related position Work Time: M-F; 9:00 am to 6:00 pm. /week.
