About The Role
The Staff Supplier Quality Engineer plays a critical role in enabling the scale and reliability of Agility Robotics’ hardware systems. This position owns supplier quality strategy across new product introduction (NPI) and production, ensuring that suppliers are capable, qualified, and continuously improving to meet the demands of high-performance robotic systems. This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that partners closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to build scalable supplier quality systems, mitigate risk, and drive measurable improvements in product quality, yield, and field performance.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in manufacturing processes, supplier development, and quality systems, along with the ability to influence technical decisions and lead initiatives across the organization.
Qualifications
and Skills Deep expertise in manufacturing processes including die casting, stamping, forging, CNC machining, and injection molding, with strong understanding of process capability and controls Experience with electromechanical systems such as actuators, gearboxes, precision assemblies, PCBA/EMS, and harnessing Strong knowledge of quality systems and tools including PPAP, FAI, CAPA, 8D, FMEA, control plans, and SPC Advanced proficiency in GD&T and its application in design, inspection, and supplier qualification Demonstrated ability to assess and develop suppliers, including leading audits and driving performance improvements Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Minitab, JMP, Excel, or similar for data-driven decision-making Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, supply chain, and manufacturing teams Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels in a fast-paced, scaling environment Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (25–50%) About You Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus 10+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering
