Impulse is looking for an experienced design engineer who will contribute to the critical development of Deneb , a ~15,000 lb thrust, ox-rich combustion engine , that will fly on Helios, a high-energy kick stage designed to deliver satellites & payloads to high-energy orbits, the Moon, Mars, and beyond. As a Sr. Propulsion Design Engineer , you will own all aspects of the propulsion system and components of Deneb, from concept to product realization, while working with a fast-paced, agile team.

Requirements

definition, conceptual design, procurement, fabrication, assembly and testing of hardware Experience designing and delivering high reliability, high performance hardware Experience designing and manufacturing additive hardware Experience with in-space propulsion components Experience with Siemens NX Strong project management skills and effective communication of technical concepts across multi-disciplinary teams Experience in a startup or agile development environment Additional Information:

Compensation

bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
