Claims Handler (CH2) – Pre-Litigation Casualty Division: Corporate Risk – Pre-Litigation Casualty Location: Liverpool (Hybrid Working) Reports to: Team Leader Working Hours: 35 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with 1 hour unpaid lunch)

About The Role

We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Claims Handler to join our Corporate Risk team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of a varied caseload of Public Liability, Employers’ Liability, Property Damage, and Product Liability claims —handling each case from first notification through to settlement. With claim values up to £20,000, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise in pre-litigation claims while delivering excellent outcomes for clients and claimants alike.

You’ll play a key role in balancing technical accuracy, commercial awareness, and customer service.

What We’Re Looking For

Experience:At least 12 months’ relevant claims experience, or 6 months’ experience plus a law degree (or equivalent) Working knowledge of the MOJ Claims Portal Strong attention to detail and ability to assess risk effectively Excellent communication and negotiation skills Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines A proactive and self-motivated approach to workload management A team player who can also work independently with confidence
