Operations team, supporting our environmental commodities business. This role sits at the center of the trade lifecycle, with responsibility for ensuring trades are accurately documented, invoiced, and settled. You will manage key aspects of the contract lifecycle while supporting settlement execution, working closely with Front Office, Finance, and external counterparties.
This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational integrity, minimizing risk, and ensuring timely and accurate cash flows. In addition, you will contribute to ongoing process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance team efficiency and scalability.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Own the end-to-end contract lifecycle for environmental certificate trades, including drafting, reviewing, executing agreements, and maintaining accurate, audit-ready records in internal systems Ensure alignment across trades, contracts, and invoices by collaborating closely with traders, Finance, and external counterparties Manage the settlements process , including invoice generation/processing, tracking receivables and payables, and ensuring timely cash collection and payments Investigate and resolve discrepancies across trades, contracts, and invoices, proactively addressing delays or issues with stakeholders Develop expertise in the full trade lifecycle (trade capture → contract execution → invoicing → settlement) to ensure operational excellence Drive process improvements and automation (e.g., SharePoint, Power Automate, Copilot) and collaborate globally to ensure consistent processes and communication KEY
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field 1+ years of relevant experience in trade operations, contracts, settlements, or similar roles within commodities, energy, or financial markets; exposure to contract handling, legal concepts, or negotiation is a plus Strong attention to detail and analytical skills , with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; experience with process improvement or automation tools (e.g., SharePoint, Power Automate, Copilot) is a plus Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills , including working with external counterparties and international teams across time zones Proactive, self-driven team player , able to work independently while contributing effectively to a team Currently based in the New York metropolitan area , able to be in office 3 days per week
COMPENSATION
AND
as determined annually within the company fiscal year.
BENEFITS
STX intends on offering the selected candidate a competitive base salary withing the range of $65,000 USD – $85,000 based on several objective factors such as relevant experience, location, holistic skillset, and applicable licenses and certifications.
