This is a 6 Month - Fixed term contract role, 8am - 4pm Monday - Friday, based out of our vibrant CBD office. Requirements
Manage the daily breakfast delivery across multiple floors, presenting food neatly, refreshing it as needed, and packing it away promptly once service ends, in line with café presentation standards Make a range of coffees, juices and smoothies - espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha, iced coffee - following the recipes and standards set by the café Run the espresso machine proficiently, brewing to the correct specifications by adjusting grind settings, tamping, and monitoring extraction times Froth and steam milk for lattes and other milk-based drinks, getting the texture and temperature right every time Stay across the café's offerings, including coffee varieties and staff allergies and preferences Greet customers, take orders, answer questions, and recommend drinks based on what they're after Engage with customers and build a warm, welcoming atmosphere in the café Taste and adjust drinks as needed so every beverage meets café standards Juggle multiple orders at once, preparing drinks efficiently while keeping quality high and wait times low Keep the work area, espresso machine, grinder, and other equipment clean, sanitising all surfaces and utensils regularly Track coffee beans, milk and other supplies, restocking as needed and flagging to management when stock runs low Take part in training to sharpen barista skills and keep up with new coffee trends and techniques Follow food safety and hygiene standards, including proper handwashing, food storage and temperature control Your track record: Experience with stock, maintenance, reporting and ordering Minimum 1 year's experience in specialty coffee Experience working in a fast-paced environment Great time management Ability to stay composed under pressure Excellent customer service Ability to work as part of a team A strong work ethic with a customer focus and positive attitude Bonus points if you also have: Experience liaising with café supplies providers Basic computer skills using Google Suite Here are our
