About The Role
This role exists to deliver accurate, compliant payroll across multiple countries and entities. You will join a Melbourne-based Payroll team of four within Finance, responsible for payroll across Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada, supported by external providers. You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing and work through variation across jurisdictions, systems and data.
The work is detailed and time-sensitive. It requires consistency, judgement and a strong focus on controls. You will partner with internal stakeholders and external providers to ensure payroll is correct, compliant and delivered on time.
What You’Ll Do
Deliver end-to-end payroll across multiple entities, including new starters, terminations, HR changes, leave transactions, reconciliations and payment processing Support payroll across Australia, the United Kingdom and Canada in partnership with external payroll providers Reconcile payroll outputs and investigate variances across timesheets, leave, superannuation, PAYG and related transactions Meet compliance obligations including superannuation, PAYG withholding, Single Touch Payroll (STP), payroll tax and statutory reporting Contribute to reporting, audits, compliance activities and ongoing process and control improvements What will help you succeed Minimum of 3 years’ experience in payroll processing within a fast-paced corporate environment Previous experience with Sage People, MicrOpay and/or ADP payroll desirable Intermediate Excel skills Ability to work in a team-based environment Ability to accurately assess when escalation is required Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to work with multiple stakeholders Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to maintaining payroll accuracy and confidentiality Why join You will build strong capability across end-to-end payroll in a multi-country environment.
