As part of the Survey123 product engineering team, you will contribute to the design, quality, and delivery of real-world field data collection workflows, helping ensure our solutions meet the needs of users across industries and environments.
Responsibilities
Participate in the delivery of regular high-quality releases of Survey123 and related field apps that address real user needs Work closely with developers, designers, and other product engineers to help define, build, and validate product functionality, workflows, and user experience Routinely test software and mobile applications to ensure both development goals and real-world use cases are met Contribute to understanding and shaping user workflows, translating field
Requirements
into effective product behavior and user experience Identify gaps in functionality or workflow and provide input into product improvements and feature prioritization Advocate for product quality, usability, and consistency across platforms (mobile, web, and desktop) Contribute to documentation of features, workflows, and user guidance Support holistic testing activities and ensure learnings are incorporated into the development cycle Collaborate on test plans and contribute to automation where appropriate, with a focus on improving overall product quality
2+ years of GIS experience in a scientific or engineering environment Ability to understand and analyze user workflows and apply GIS concepts Experience as a creator or user of field data collection solutions, including use of both paper and digital tools Understanding of field data collection workflows, including GNSS usage and mobile platform considerations Familiarity with the ArcGIS ecosystem, using products such as Survey123, QuickCapture, Field Maps, ArcGIS Online, or ArcGIS Enterprise Familiarity with mobile platforms (iOS, Android, Windows) and their capabilities/limitations Ability to work closely with a team to build quality software in a constantly evolving environment Effective time management and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Bachelor’s in computer science, engineering, GIS, or related field Existing work authorization for Australia Recommended
Qualifications
