Responsibilities
including CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions), Kubernetes cluster deployments across dev/QA/stage/production environments, and core AWS services (Lambda, RDS, EKS, S3) Participate in two-week agile sprints using Jira, with flexibility to support production hotfixes and larger feature releases as needed Support and mentor mid-level engineers on the team over time 5+ years of backend-focused software engineering experience Strong proficiency in at least one JVM language — Java or Kotlin strongly preferred; Spring Boot and/or Micronaut experience a plus Familiarity with microservices architecture and the ability to reason across service boundaries and understand downstream dependencies Experience with Vue.js or openness to contributing to a Vue-based frontend when needed Solid understanding of relational and graph databases; PostgreSQL and/or Neo4j experience a plus Working knowledge of AWS fundamentals (Lambda, EC2, S3) and container orchestration (Kubernetes) Experience with CI/CD workflows, preferably GitHub Actions A testing mindset — comfortable writing unit and integration tests and responding to QA feedback loops Strong communicator who asks clarifying questions, validates
