You are … Skilled with the technical stuff: Low-stress and fear-free restraint and handling of cats and dogs—bonus if you also have experience working with birds and small mammals, too! Lab work, radiograph positioning and safety, injections (SQ, IV, IM), IV catheter placement, medication dispensing, and medical record maintenance, restraint for exams, and supporting veterinarians during procedures and appointments Hospital maintenance, stocking, and cleanliness Anesthesia monitoring and administration experience is a strong plus, but we can train a motivated learner!
Skilled with the soft stuff: client communication and education, conflict resolution, answering phones, and taking payments Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
