NET/Kafka Engineer , you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and optimizing our event-driven architecture and real-time data streaming pipelines. You will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of our Kafka clusters while collaborating closely with cross-functional engineering teams to implement high-throughput data solutions. As a senior member of the team, you will also mentor junior engineers, establish best practices for data streaming, and drive the technical evolution of our event-driven ecosystem .
What You’Ll Do
Assess and review the current application and event-streaming architecture . Provide recommendations to improve scalability, reliability, performance, and maintainability . Lead architectural discussions around monolith-to-microservices decomposition strategies .
Design and review event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka as the central streaming platform . Evaluate and optimize topic design, partitioning strategies, retention policies, event schemas, and consumer patterns . NET environment and provide guidance on implementation best practices .
Analyze and resolve performance, throughput, latency, and data retention challenges . Review event modeling , payload design, schema evolution, and integration patterns . Assess Kafka Connect integrations and Confluent ecosystem components .
Mentor engineering teams on distributed systems principles, microservices design, and event-driven architecture best practices . Collaborate with engineering leadership to define long-term architecture standards and modernization strategies . What makes you a great fit 🎯 Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Engineering, or a related field .
8 + Years of software engineering, platform engineering, or distributed systems experience . 5 + Years of experience designing and implementing Apache Kafka solution . NET in enterprise production environments.
Strong experience working with Apache Kafka. Deep expertise with Confluent Platform and AWS MSK . Proven experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures .
Demonstrated success decomposing monolithic applications into microservices architectures . Strong understanding of distributed systems design and architecture patterns . Willing to work on a three-month project.
