Job Summary FDI Services Inc. is currently seeking 3 night shift Journeyperson Millwright's for our City of Edmonton Waste Management Centre Facility in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidates will be responsible for safely executing Millwright duties in a facilities maintenance setting.

Responsibilities

Comprehends diagrams schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures. Operates rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts. Understands how to fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances.

Align and test equipment to make any necessary adjustments. Performs preventative and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts as necessary. Periodically perform tack welding and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts.

May perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Committed to working in a safe and efficient manner. Excellent problem-solving skills required. Good analytical ability and manual dexterity.

Successful candidates are required to have a valid Alberta driver’s license and provide a 5-year driver’s abstract. Must be able to perform physically demanding work for a long duration of time. Must be able to perform duties at heights.

Must have demonstrated ability to work under minimal supervision. Must be able to complete all pre-access training as identified prior to mobilization.

Millwright JM certificate from a recognized provincial training authority.
