Role Overview The Junior Chemist manages and maintains all our internal and external formulas testing up to date as well as managing all the pre-regulatory documentation. In this role, the coordinator will prepare a technical presentation for future launches to the I I teams. The Junior Chemist will create stability templates and issues final reports for all the brands and create final dossiers to formally release formulas for production.
This is a hybrid role which requires 3 days per week working in the lab located in Fairfield, New Jersey and 2 days from home.
Responsibilities
, track stability, update results charts and summarize data for review at each test period. Manage all stability reports from external manufacturers and share findings with corresponding chemist. Work together with Senior Scientists to prepare lab batches of formulas needed for submitting samples for new development and reformulate / resubmit them based on Marketing team’s feedback.
) Manage each of the brand trackers for submissions/ formulas/ samples/ testing for the whole R D team Digitally catalog raw material samples to track inventory Prepares R D innovation presentations for future launches Manage digital formula libraries for R D Generate Tentative ILs of internal lab batches for regulatory review. Request and manage formula documents (COA/ Raw Material documents) to provide to regulatory once formula approval for internal formulas Conduct efficacy testing as required by supervisor Conduct laboratory efficacy tests and write reports detailing experiments, analysis and summary of results Communicate formulation stability and efficacy issues promptly and thoroughly to supervisor Perform/Monitor calibration and validation of all lab instruments. Maintain clean, safe and well-organized lab working area.

Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree preferred – Chemistry, Engineering or related field of study 3-5 years of beauty industry/personal care, including formulation and scale-up, required Experience working as a Lab Technician at a Personal care industry.
What We Offer
$66,300/yr - $85,000/yr.
Compensation
may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This position is eligible for participation in a discretionary bonus plan based on individual and company performance.
