We are seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented CAD Designer to support civil site design projects for commercial, retail, and mixed-use developments. This role focuses on preparing accurate, code-compliant plans and construction documents using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, while collaborating closely with engineers and project managers to deliver high-quality site layouts, grading and drainage solutions, utility plans, and access improvements.

Responsibilities
Prepare preliminary layouts, detailed design drawings, and construction documents for civil site design projects using AutoCAD and Civil 3D. Develop and coordinate site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility plans, erosion control plans, storm and sewer profiles, and related drawing packages. Design grading and drainage systems that shape land elevations to direct stormwater safely to inlets, detention, or retention facilities and protect sites from flooding.
Support access and circulation design for roadways, drive aisles, parking lots, sidewalks, and pedestrian connections to promote safe and efficient vehicle and foot traffic. Assist with building orientation and site layout to support project goals such as functionality, visibility, sunlight exposure, and overall site efficiency.

, and environmental standards. Perform earthwork analysis, quantity takeoffs, and cut/fill calculations based on existing and proposed topography. Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, constructability, and compliance with company drafting and design standards.
Coordinate with engineers, designers, and project managers to maintain design consistency, manage revisions, and meet project schedules. Organize and maintain project files, drawing revisions, plot files, and related documentation. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Aided Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred; technical degree or drafting certification is a plus. Experience in site development or civil site design drafting. Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience preferred.
Experience preparing site plans, grading and drainage plans, utility layouts, and related civil design documents. Working knowledge of digital terrain modeling, earthwork analysis, and construction control concepts such as alignments, stationing, and control points.
