Overview: As an Accounting Specialist II, you will play a key role in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely recording of transactions, reconciliations, and financial analysis. You will be responsible for maintaining integrity of the general ledger, supporting corporate treasury functions, and contributing to process improvements within the finance team. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and the ability to analyze and resolve complex accounting issues independently.
What You’Ll Do
: Lead preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations during month-end close activities. Perform detailed account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP. Prepare and review month-end analysis schedules, identifying trends and anomalies.
Support corporate treasury functions, including initiating ACH and wire transfers from corporate accounts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes. Assist with internal reporting and ad-hoc financial projects as assigned.
Mentor and guide junior accounting staff as needed, ensuring team adherence to standards and best practices.
What We’Re Looking For
: 2–4 years of accounting experience, including general ledger management and month-end/year-end close processes. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification or active candidacy preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP and corporate accounting practices.
Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with accounting software (experience with NetSuite a plus). Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Preferred: Public accounting experience. Experience in process improvement initiatives or accounting system implementations.
