Affiliate Hitting Coach

JOB TITLE: Hitting Coach DEPARTMENT: Player Development POTENTIAL LOCATIONS: Frederick, Maryland; Bowie, Maryland; Salisbury, Maryland; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Sarasota, Florida; Norfolk, Virginia JOB SUMMARY: The Baltimore Orioles are seeking multiple full-time Hitting Coaches for the 2026 Major League Baseball Championship season. This position will serve as a uniformed coach with the responsibility of executing the organization’s hitting philosophy and individual player plans at the assigned affiliated location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

: Primary duties to include, but not limited to the following: Design and execute daily hitting practice plans Collaborate with hitting coordinators to design and execute individual player plans Collaborate with medical staff and strength coaches to identify and correct movement deficiencies Utilize analytical tools and data to identify strengths, weaknesses, and development opportunities Assist manager, developmental, and fundamental coach in daily on-field practice

QUALIFICATIONS

: Required: Exceptional organization and communication skills Appreciation for the use of data from technologies such as Trackman, Blast Motion, Rapsodo, HitTrax and K-Vest Throw batting practice and execute on field/cage work Appreciation for functional movement and biomechanical development Intrinsically motivated, reliable, and a growth mindset Desired: Former collegiate or professional playing experience Ability to speak Spanish The anticipated salary for this role is $44,000 - $52,000 annually depending on experience.
