The Asset Management Design Construction (AMDC) department is responsible for capital improvements and development of all revenue-generating assets NYCEDC maintains and/or operates.
Position Overview: T he Senior Project M anager will manage a portfolio of design and construction pro jects ac ross NYC EDC ’s Cruise portfolio , which includes the Brookly n Cruise Termina l and Manhattan Cruise Terminal . While these assets primaril y function as cruise terminal s, they also support a range of flexible us es, including office spaces, t ransportation operations , event programming , and freight distribution. Th is role requires close coordination with a sset managers and other stakeholders to ensure assets are fully operational while advancing capital improvements.
The Senior Project Manager will also play a key role in devel oping and i mplementing a long-term redevelopment plan for a modernized cruise facility. The Senior Project Manager ( S PM) is responsible for managing projects throughout the full development lifecycle, including capital planning, design, and construction, across multiple NYCEDC assets. Project types may include new construction, renovations, major infrastructure, waterfront infrastructure, and public open space.
Responsibilities
: Review f acility c ondition reports and inspection findings; conduct site assessments and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify , prioritize , and scope capital needs in alignment with NYCEDC objectives. Support c apital p lanning efforts, including the long-term capital plans and annual budgets ac ross NYCEDC’s asset portfolio . Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including procurement of architecture, engineering, and construction teams to existing conditions assessments, programming, feasibility studies, estimating and budgeting, schematic design through construction documentation, regulatory submissions and approvals, bidding, construction, and project close-out.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects and contracts, ensuring coordination across stakeholders and accountability throughout the development process. Monitor project performance, including schedule, scope, and budget; conduct site visits, track progress, and proactively resolve issues in coordination with operations and senior leadership. Oversee project financials and funding processes, including invoice and change order review, procurement coordination, award approvals, and compliance with NYCEDC policies.
Work in partnership with the Asset Management Portfolio Managers (AMPM) and Asset Management Property Operations (Prop-Ops) team to ensure projects are aligned with policy, market, tenant needs and operations considerations. Maintain ongoing project scope, cost, and schedule controls, including project reporting. Establish and maintain record-keeping systems consistent with NYCEDC policy and need, including hard copies and electronic files of infrastructure asset conditions and surveys .

Qualifications
: Bachelor’s d egree or equivalent experience in architecture, engineering, u rban planning, construction management, or a related field .
