Marqeta is looking for a talented Network Engineer II to manage and support our physical network infrastructure. You will own and deliver projects in service of quarterly goals on the team and independently identify solutions to solve ambiguous, open-ended problems. You will work in collaboration with your team and cross-functional partners.

Who You Are

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience 3-5 years of hands-on experience with enterprise network infrastructure Strong experience with Cisco switches CCNP certification is a strong plus. Palo Alto firewall configuration, management, and troubleshooting Hands-on experience with Meraki cloud-managed networking solutions Proficiency in VPN technologies including IPsec, SSL VPN, and site-to-site configurations Experience managing network hardware in colocation and data center environments Strong understanding of routing protocols including BGP, OSPF, and MPLS Proficiency in networking concepts and protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, spanning tree, and routing and switching technologies Deep understanding of OSI model layers 1-4 and practical application in troubleshooting Experience with network monitoring tools and platforms Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash) for network automation is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment Ability to travel occasionally to colocation sites as needed Our (typical) process: Application submission Recruiter video call Technical interview focused on networking scenarios Virtual “Onsite” consisting of three 45-60 minute rounds Offer!
