LotusWorks is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, integral to our people-first approach. This role is responsible for supporting the operation, monitoring, maintenance, and reliability of electrical systems within facility and mission-critical environments. The position works closely with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure safe system performance, operational continuity, and compliance with safety and reliability standards.
The individual will support both day-to-day operations and maintenance activities across critical electrical infrastructure.
Responsibilities
: Perform day-to-day operation, monitoring, and maintenance of electrical systems within facility and mission-critical environments. Maintain safe and reliable operation of low-voltage (LV), medium-voltage (MV), and associated electrical distribution systems. Execute preventive maintenance (PM), corrective maintenance (CM), and emergency response activities.
Troubleshoot electrical faults, equipment failures, and abnormal operating conditions.
Requirements
Respond to alarms, system abnormalities, and electrical emergencies in accordance with site procedures.
, and electrical safety standards. Accurately document work activities, findings, and completed tasks within CMMS platforms such as IBM Maximo. Support operational readiness, commissioning turnover, and startup activities for new systems or modifications.
Perform routine rounds and inspections of electrical infrastructure. Monitor electrical system performance through SCADA, BMS, EPMS, or local control interfaces. Verify electrical system parameters including voltage, current, power quality, frequency, load balance, breaker status, and UPS alarms.
Operate electrical equipment in accordance with approved switching procedures and operational sequences. Support planned shutdowns, maintenance outages, and energization activities. Assist with electrical isolations and safe restoration of systems.
Escalate abnormal operating conditions to engineering or site leadership. Perform preventive maintenance on switchgear, MCCs, panelboards, transformers, UPS systems, PDUs/RPPs, ATS systems, generators, battery systems, lighting systems, and VFDs. Conduct infrared (IR) inspections and identify thermal anomalies.
Perform breaker inspections, cleaning, torque verification, and operational testing. Support battery inspections, impedance testing, and battery replacements. Assist with generator maintenance, load bank testing, and fuel system inspections.
Replace failed electrical components and coordinate vendor support when required. Maintain spare parts inventory and critical electrical equipment inventory. Diagnose electrical faults using testing instruments, meters, and system trends.
Analyze nuisance trips, harmonics, overloads, and power quality issues. Support root cause analysis (RCA) activities following equipment failures or outages. Identify reliability improvement opportunities and recurring failure trends.
Assist engineering teams with implementation of corrective actions. Review electrical alarms and historical trends to proactively identify operational risks.
and electrical safe work practices. Execute Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures prior to maintenance activities.
