Luminis Health Title: ED Unit Resource Coordinator (URC) Department: Emergency Department Reports to: Clinical Director – Nursing Job Code/Cost Center: 20200-10016-002057 FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Objective: The Unit Resource Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of patient medical records, communication internally and externally, acquisition of stock and patient supplies, completion of log books and coordination of ongoing activities at the Nurses’ station. Represents Luminis Health RISE Values in every interaction with patients, families, co-workers, and colleagues. Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges Collaborates with hospital personnel to ensure optimal patient care and promote a positive working environment in Unit and Hospital. Manage unit call volumes Coordinates communication on patient care unit Maintains patient medical records to ensure they are current and accurate Maintains patient and unit supplies economically and efficiently, including PPE Coordinates communication at the Nurses’ Station and patient care unit Participates in programs designed to increase the quality of patient care.
Requirements
: High School Diploma or GED required One-year previous Unit Clerk experience or in a clerical position in a similar health care setting preferred. Working knowledge of basic medical terminology Required License/Certifications: N/A Working Conditions, Equipment, Physical Demands: There is a reasonable expectation that employees in this position will be exposed to bloodborne pathogens. Physical Demands – Must be able to hear normal sounds with some background noise Routinely lifts objects under 20 pounds The physical demands and work environment that have been described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.
