Manhattan Charter Schools (the Schools) are two high-performing charter schools located on the Lower East Side in New York City. The Schools are committed to providing its students with the tools and support necessary for success. Since its founding in 2005 as a 501c3 nonprofit organization, Manhattan Charter School (MCS) has consistently achieved high levels of success.
In 2012, MCS opened Manhattan Charter School 2 (MCS2), a replication of MCS located a few blocks away, expanding on the groundwork laid by MCS and bringing high levels of academic achievement to more students. Administration: Administer employee

. Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding
inquiries and enrollment processes.
Key Responsibilities
: Recruitment and Onboarding: Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and making hiring recommendations. Coordinate new employee onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a smooth transition for new hires. Employee Relations: Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related issues, policies, and procedures.
Handle employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism, including conducting investigations and resolving conflicts in a timely manner. Performance Management: Administer performance review process and provide guidance and support to managers and employees on goal setting, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities. Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans as needed.
Training and Development: Identify training and development needs within the organization and coordinate training programs and initiatives to enhance employee skills and capabilities. Assist in the design and delivery of HR-related training sessions, workshops, and seminars. Compliance and Policy Administration: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to reflect current laws and best practices.
Qualifications
: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of HR experience, with a strong understanding of HR practices and employment laws. , SHRM-CP, PHR) is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships at all levels of the organization. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
