The EHS Specialist role is responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving culture development and training programs across all EHS disciplines, including occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental compliance, process safety, and emergency response. The position reports to the Safety and Compliance Manager and will be located onsite in Penrose, CO and eventually transitioning to Pueblo, CO.

In this role, the essential functions are: EHS Program Management, including audit and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance programs, policies and procedures. 76 (AA E), environmental regulations and ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001. Risk Hazard identification and assessments, including new processes equipment and materials and incident investigations with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions.

Environmental Industrial Hygiene support of environmental compliance programs, exposure strategy, and chemical hazard evaluations and SDS management. Maintain Emergency Response / HazMat readiness and programs, coordinate with external agencies and actively participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT).

: Bachelor’s degree in EHS with 2 years of experience OR Master’s degree in EHS with 1 year of experience OR High School Diploma or Equivalent with 5 or more years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health Safety roles.

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required)

: Experience in chemical, space or defense manufacturing Relevant certifications in EHS disciples to include HazMat / Emergency Response training or certification Government Mandated

Requirements

: Candidates must meet all eligibility

to obtain and maintain applicable state and federal explosives licenses, including minimum age
