They are focused on developing successful broker relationships and writing and renewing profitable Commercial business. They will work closely with the Program Analysts to ensure program growth and profitability. What will you do?
Underwrite risks presented to Gore Mutual (New Business, Renewal, Endorsement, Cancellations) The P C Underwriter - Programs will be responsibility for managing broker relationships. They will be responsible for providing great service and fostering relationships which can enable trading of commercial business to improve the commercial programs portfolio. The P C Underwriter– Programs is responsible for providing operational instruction to Associate underwriters or support personnel.
The P C Underwriter- Programs is responsible for their time management and desk management as well as meeting service level agreements with guidance and coaching provided by their The P C Underwriter – Programs is responsible for the bordereau ingestion/entry of their Programs and MGA’s with DUA (Designated Underwriting Authority). What will you need to succeed? A minimum of 3 years of commercial underwriting experience University degree, college diploma or equivalent experience Enrollment in or completion of the CIP and/or FCIP Ability to be comfortable with change while also promoting change to continuously improve the team’s operational effectiveness and efficiency Proven experience providing genuine customer service to broker partners by presenting commercial insurance solutions specific to the needs of the client Proficient underwriting skills, sound judgement, decision making, negotiation and analytical ability Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Ability to work well under pressure with minimum supervision Proficient skill with computer applications including a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Location: We’re a hybrid team that thrives on the energy and value of in-office collaboration.
