About The Role
: Planning and execution of physical testing to measure performance characteristics of vehicle tires designed for passenger car, light truck, and truck and bus applications. Position is within the Performance Evaluation organization.
Key Responsibilities
: Coordinate or manage tire testing data processing for measuring in part the following performances: rolling resistance (RR), high speed uniformity (HSU), quasi–static characterizations (force–deflection; stiffnesses, tire-road contact shape pressure distribution), dimensions, surface geometry, force moment, wear. Control testing – charting. Lab-to-lab correlation testing.
Manage calibrations and scheduling of calibrations. Quality auditing. Benchmarking products to develop associated database.
; Force Moment, Ride Handling; etc. Tire Characterization: mass, dimensions, cut section - construction features. Material Characterization - including chemical analysis.
Making use of other existing data obtained from outside sources.

Requirements
Oversee tire warehouse management of testing and development tires. Analysis and support for technical issues. Involves some domestic and international travel.
Regularly document and communicate with deliverables in form of written reports and presentations. *Please note this is a sample of what you’ll be doing. This job requires you to be able to adapt to change quickly in order to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
: Experience with Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 or similar office tools: Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in local and international collaborative team environments. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field. Programming experience in Python, Matlab, VBA preferred.
