The Role We are looking for a Cloud Operations Lead to take ownership of our AWS environment and help us build a more mature, reliable cloud platform. This is a senior, hands-on role, where you will be responsible for running production infrastructure, leading our migration from on‑premises to AWS, and putting in place the standards, processes, and operational discipline the platform depends on.

This role will be part of our Technology Operations team, and work closely with DevOps to deliver and manage infrastructure effectively.

Responsibilities

Migration Ownership Lead the migration of critical products from on-premises to AWS, taking full operational ownership Own production AWS infrastructure - accountable for uptime, stability, and operational standards across all migrated workloads Receive infrastructure from DevOps and own it, ensuring runbooks, processes, and support models are in place Decommission legacy tooling as migrations complete Ongoing Operations Establish and own monitoring, alerting, and incident response across cloud workloads Build and maintain runbooks and operational procedures for all production infrastructure Drive continuous improvement, identifying and resolving reliability, performance, and cost issues Optimise cloud spend; right-sizing, reserved instances, cost allocation by product/customer Work with the Chief Architect on IAM, network segmentation, encryption, and compliance
