540 is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to support our partnership with Google and the Department of War in advancing mission-critical capabilities for a global data processing platform. This platform leverages Machine Learning, modern cloud and containerized technologies to ingest, process, and analyze high-volume, time-series data. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and platform services that enable reliable and compliant system delivery.

You will work closely with engineers, architects, and cybersecurity stakeholders to integrate security throughout the development lifecycle and ensure systems are scalable, resilient, and secure within highly regulated, high-impact environments. Location : Patrick SFB, FL or Arlington, VA. Candidates should be local to either location.

Onsite support may be required based on mission and customer needs.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE 5+ years of experience in DevOps or DevSecOps engineering roles Experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud environments (AWS, Azure) Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar tools) Experience with containerized environments (Docker, Helm) Understanding of DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices Experience with cloud networking, identity, and access management concepts Familiarity with vulnerability management and secure configuration practices Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Bash, Go, etc.) Experience working with Linux-based systems Experience with cloud networking, multi-region deployments Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams CompTIA Security+ certification required (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire)
