About FirstSteps The FirstSteps Team is inspired by the belief that every child deserves the opportunity to achieve their fullest potential. To that end, our mission is twofold: to provide the best evidence-based, behavior analytic treatment to our children diagnosed with autism and related learning differences, and to offer a positive, collaborative, and dynamic work experience for our team. We are steadfastly committed to ongoing training and mentorship of our employees, always motivated to support the next generation of clinical leaders in our field and at FirstSteps.
Our greatest reward is witnessing the rapid and joyful learning of our little ones and knowing that together, we are creating more happy days for the kids and families we serve. Good for Team. Why Experienced BCBAs Choose FirstSteps Our Program Directors are experienced behavior analysts, mentors, and clinical leaders who develop purpose-driven, individualized treatment plans and spend their time where they make the greatest impact. We believe the best clinical decisions happen close to the child, not far from them.
That's why our Program Directors maintain a strong clinical presence by: Conducting comprehensive assessments Developing individualized, purpose-driven treatment plans Observing treatment sessions and coaching RBTs in real time Partnering with caregivers through ongoing training and collaboration Collaborating with physicians, educators, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and other providers Each Program Director also serves as the primary mentor and clinical leader for a cohort of approximately 7 to 12 RBTs. Through regular coaching, observation, and relationship-building, you'll help develop confident, skilled clinicians while fostering a collaborative culture centered on learning, growth, and exceptional care. Designed for Meaningful Clinical Leadership Our Program Directors typically support approximately 12 to 14 children, allowing them to build meaningful relationships with each child, family, and clinical team.
Our model is intentionally designed so Program Directors can remain actively engaged in the clinical work that makes the greatest difference while providing thoughtful supervision, mentorship, and leadership.
