Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Specific Role: We’re looking for a strong, detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to support EMIT Technologies’ mechanical design efforts as an individual contributor.

Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and aligned with manufacturing capabilities Support Project Managers by providing design input, technical feedback, and timeline estimates throughout the project lifecycle Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve design quality and consistency Work with internal sales teams or customers, when needed, to clarify

and design intent Identify and resolve design issues, including tolerance, fit, and manufacturability concerns Contribute to the improvement of design workflows, checklists, and design-for-manufacturability standards Drive continuous improvement by suggesting enhancements to design processes, tools, and documentation practices Explore and apply new SolidWorks features, tools, or design methods to improve efficiency and quality Support new and existing product development efforts with innovative mechanical design solutions

Qualifications

: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering field, or equivalent hands-on experience Strong proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical design best practices Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, design-for-manufacturability, and revision control Experience working cross-functionally with production, quality, supply chain, and project teams Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and standardization Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Self-motivated, solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Physical and Safety
