Maintains record of all necessary records. Moves material as necessary in the performance of the job. Detects and reports improper operations, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to proper supervision.

Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition. Follows prescribed safety and health rules. Performs other duties as required or directed.

Responsibilities

include but are not limited to: Works from verbal and written instructions and quality procedures. Follows standard quality practices and procedures. Uses water pressure equipment, air hose, weld gauges, adjustable measuring instruments, computer scanning devices, flashlight and inspection mirror.

Consults with ASME Authorized Inspector when there are discrepancies. Coordinates hydro testing priorities with ASME Authorized Inspector. P.

Observes all welds for undercut, under flush, excessive deposits, proper blends, excess spatter, cracks and leaks.

Qualifications

Required: High school diploma or equivalent 1 to 3 years of experience in manufacturing assembly, welding or quality assurance ASME Section VIII Div. 1 experience preferred Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and effectively apply to assigned work Ability to navigate multiple windows in company Enterprise Resource Program (ERP) system to access production and resource data Ability to perform repetitive work requiring constant alertness or activity, and including standing and lifting Ability to manage time effectively to meet strict time deadlines and production volumes Requires judgment to comply with instructions, prescribed routines, methods and practices Excellent teamwork skills Work Environment This position works primarily in a production floor environment where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required in these areas.

This position reports into the site every day. This position has no direct reports.
