Deployment Operational Documentation Create documentation enabling field deployment and integration with OEMs, primes, and government stakeholders Translate FDE and flight-ops learnings into repeatable, standardized documentation Ensure documentation supports real-world operational use, not just theoretical capability Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with engineering, solutions, and flight operations to ensure documentation reflects actual system behavior and constraints Partner with product teams to ensure new capabilities are documented in a way that supports procurement and deployment Capture and formalize tribal knowledge into scalable documentation assets Documentation Systems Standards Establish and maintain documentation structures that support rapid iteration and program scaling Drive consistency across technical, proposal, and operational documentation
Qualifications
and Skills 5+ years of experience in technical writing, preferably in a startup environment supporting defense, aerospace, robotics, or embedded systems Demonstrated experience supporting DoD or government programs, including proposal writing or contract deliverables Strong understanding of how technical systems are evaluated in government procurement and program reviews Experience developing documentation for complex hardware/software systems Ability to quickly understand and communicate multi-domain systems (autonomy, RF, networking, etc.) Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Experience working in cross-functional, fast-paced environments (startups or scale-ups is a plus) Familiarity with autonomy, UAV systems, or tactical communications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communication, or a related field US Citizenship required
