Test Automation Engineer (SDET)

C. (Remote role) The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust automation frameworks while ensuring high-quality, accessible applications.

Key Responsibilities

: Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks from the ground up or enhance existing frameworks. Develop and execute automated test scripts for: Web UI applications, RESTful APIs. Perform accessibility testing (Section 508 / WCAG) using both automated tools and manual techniques.

). Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members in an Agile/Scrum environment. Analyze test results, identify defects, and ensure proper defect tracking and resolution.

Participate in sprint ceremonies (planning, stand-ups, retrospectives). Support regression, integration, and system testing efforts. Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and best practices.

Qualifications

: 8+ years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation. Strong programming experience in Java. Hands-on experience with: Selenium WebDriver (UI automation).

REST Assured / Postman (API automation). Experience with test frameworks such as: TestNG / JUnit / Cucumber (BDD). Solid Understanding of: Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.

). Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps). Proficiency with Git for version control.

Strong SQL skills for backend/data validation. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments. Accessibility (Mandatory Requirement): Hands-on experience with Section 508 / WCAG compliance testing.

Experience using accessibility tools such as: Axe, WAVE, ARC Toolkit. Ability to Perform: Keyboard navigation testing. Screen reader testing (JAWS/NVDA preferred).

Understanding of accessibility standards and remediation validation. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with Playwright or Cypress. ).

Experience in data migration testing. Familiarity with AI-assisted testing tools. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and proactively. Experience mentoring junior team members.
