Requirements

: Intra- and Inter-state travel as required Reports to: VP, Care Community Lead Job Summary: The Director of NEMT will own and lead the centralized activities of the transportation infrastructure used by Washington State Care communities, including but not limited to Auburn, Seattle Tumwater, and Spokane. The position will be responsible for collaborating with decentralized Dispatch and Fleet operations ensuring they are supported in vehicle acquisition and returns, invoicing local brokers, strategic planning needed to scale, data analytics, and routing software.

Build and manage a fleet acquisition and leasing strategy across Eastern and Western Washington Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal NEMT regulations Evaluate, implement, and manage transportation software platforms; train staff and lead upgrades as needed Directly supervise 2–3 dispatchers; develop and implement staff training frameworks across all sites Establish KPIs and resource planning models to guide staffing and fleet decisions Manage day-to-day program expenditures and identify cost efficiencies within VP-set budgets

Required Qualifications

: 7–10+ years in transportation operations, fleet management, or NEMT program leadership Experience managing multi-site transportation programs Strong knowledge of transportation regulatory compliance (local, state, federal) Experience developing fleet acquisition strategies, training programs, and operational policies Strong communication, problem-solving, and people leadership skills Washington State residency or willingness to relocate
