About The Role
You will represent Yondr and be the voice of Health, Safety and Environment Management during the construction of our data centers in the Northern Virginia area. It is expected that you will be based full-time at one job site at a time. , general contractor and vendors), in creating the capacity for successful completion of work.
This includes monitoring the jobsite for emerging issues and risks, as well as providing assurance and oversite to our supply chain partners so they can successfully execute the work. HSE excellence is critical to Yondr’s success.
Responsibilities
Support Yondr and our supply chain partners in ensuring work is completed successfully in accordance with Yondr expectations and HSE principles Provide assurance through conducting regular site inspections, field visits, and spot checks Oversee incident investigations / learnings, as well as proactive learning as needed, and support generating and distributing lessons learned to Yondr’s global jobsites Support Yondr leaders in fulfilling their HSE
Monitor the site for compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental legal
Requirements
and take appropriate steps to ensure compliance Support Yondr in meeting client expectations and
by being aware of and taking appropriate steps to ensure compliance with any contractual obligations Coach general contractor and vendors in innovating new ways to improve HSE performance through implementing pilot projects and sharing good practices Assist Yondrites and Yondr guests that come onsite by facilitating site orientations, ensuring they have appropriate PPE, and providing an escort for the walking path
related to construction sites Able to navigate around an active construction site at all phases to perform site visits Experience implementing NFPA 70e electrical safety standards Experience overseeing crane activities in a construction environment
Qualifications
and experience (required) 5 years + with HSE management responsibility at an active construction site Experience of the data center industry in construction Bachelor’s degree in HSE (or related field) or equivalent demonstratable experience Completed OSHA 30hr construction training Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficient in working in an Office 365 working environment Detailed knowledge of HSE regulatory
and experience (preferred) Certification as Certified Safety Professional (or equivalent) Experience working as an owner’s rep and/or as a general contractor Experience working as a supervisor overseeing HSE personnel Graduate degree in HSE (or related field) At Yondr, we want to enhance the diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging of our workforce to reflect the world we live in.
