This is a pivotal moment—where development transitions into execution—and requires strong project leadership to deliver with discipline, speed, and accountability. As a Project Manager, you will own project delivery from development through construction, serving as the central point of accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and risk. You’ll ensure continuity across licensing, engineering, and construction—driving alignment, maintaining momentum, and avoiding resets as projects move into execution.
This role is about owning outcomes, not just managing task. The Opportunity Current Hydro is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead delivery of hydropower projects through construction. This role is responsible for coordinating across engineering, contractors, vendors, and agency stakeholders to ensure projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with plan.
This is a high-visibility, high-impact role with direct responsibility for delivering projects that have been in development for years. You will: Lead delivery of flagship projects that expand access to clean, reliable energy to the grid and the communities we serve. Drive execution across an integrated lifecycle, aligning licensing, design, procurement, and construction in an EPC-style delivery model.
Ensure disciplined project performance, actively managing schedule (critical path), cost, risk, and contractor execution. Work directly with key stakeholders, including USACE, FERC, contractors, and local partners, to maintain alignment and resolve issues quickly. Deliver meaningful community impact, creating long-term jobs, economic development, and enhanced recreational access.

Responsibilities
Own full lifecycle project delivery (licensing through construction) as the single point of accountability for scope, schedule, cost, and risk, with full ownership of project status, priorities, and outcomes. Actively manage execution against the schedule, understanding critical path, key dependencies, and milestone drivers; ensure alignment between internal teams, third-parties, and field execution. Manage internal engineering and external partners (EPC-style execution), aligning design, procurement, and vendor performance with project objectives and timelines.
