Operations Supervisor ShipMonk | Pittston, Pennsylvania | Full-time | On-site Department Ownership Scope ShipMonk is seeking an Operations Supervisor to directly manage daily fulfillment operations and lead a team of 25–30 fulfillment associates at our Pittston, PA facility. Across our network of 12+ global fulfillment centers, we execute daily high-volume e-commerce fulfillment for over 1,500 brands.
This is an operational optimization role. Rather than executing a static, corporate-mandated playbook, you will directly influence, test, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to reduce cycle times, minimize travel waste, and eliminate quality defects on the floor. Supervisors who meet throughput targets and successfully cross-train their teams step directly into Senior Supervisor and Warehouse Manager tracks.

Key Responsibilities
Daily Deliverables Shift Optimization: Launch daily shifts with structured team huddles to allocate labor, establish production targets, clear backlogs, and enforce safety protocols. Real-Time KPI Management: Monitor and adjust intra-day labor allocation to meet or exceed throughput, units per hour (UPH), accuracy, and safety benchmarks. Floor Coaching: Conduct active, real-time performance coaching on the floor to improve individual associate metrics and accelerate onboarding ramp times.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Resolve cross-department bottlenecks immediately to maintain seamless hand-offs between receiving, picking, packing, and shipping. Continuous Improvement (CI): Analyze daily shift data to identify root causes of operational friction, propose targeted process modifications, and execute approved adjustments. Facility Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to OSHA safety regulations, equipment maintenance schedules, and 5S cleanliness standards.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct supervisory experience leading teams within a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment. Data Literacy: Experience analyzing operational reports, identifying variances, and executing root-cause analysis. Communication: Ability to deliver clear performance metrics, operational goals, and actionable feedback to a large team.
Availability: Capability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, or required overtime based on peak volume demands. Physical Demands: Ability to stand and walk for the duration of a shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience utilizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Inventory Management Software. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or a related technical field. Military leadership experience (NCO-level or equivalent).
Definitive Milestones for Success First 30 Days Complete full onboarding on Pittston's WMS and workflow processes. Map the baseline performance metrics of your 25–30 associate team. Identify and document one specific process bottleneck within your department.
First 90 Days Demonstrate measurable upward trends in your department’s primary KPIs (UPH, accuracy, safety). Standardize and implement at least one approved workflow or layout optimization. Establish clear performance baselines and development targets for all direct reports.
Year One Meet or exceed department throughput targets through a peak retail season.
