About The Role
The Junior Quality Control Officer (consultant role) will be responsible for supporting premix testing, conducting analytical experiments, maintaining quality documentation and data records, and coordinating with external testing laboratories. The role will contribute to the timely execution of quality control activities, accurate reporting of results, and adherence to established quality standards and procedures. Therefore, the work the Junior Quality Officer consultant role does is key to our ability to provide our beneficiaries with a high-quality product that meets all safety standards.
They will work closely with other teams across Fortify Health and manage communications with external laboratory partners. The Junior Quality Control Officer will report to Fortify Health’s Quality Control Officer. Please note: This is a fixed-term consultant position with an engagement period of approximately six months, expected to begin in July.

Sampling and data gatheringPerforming rapid quantitative iron testing in fortified wheat flour (using iCheck Iron, no prior experience of using iCheck Iron required) for all partner mills. Conducting quality control of fortification premix, maintaining the relevant QC documents, helping the operations team for vendor quality audits.
Data analysis and reportingAnalysing the data, interpreting the results and communicating the outcomes to respective team members. Coordinating with external testing laboratory partners for testing of the samples and reports. Preparing internal reports of the testing.

Requirements
Willingness to work from the office/laboratory as required. Fluency in Hindi, professional fluency in English. Pharm will be preferred.
Execution:Strong organisational skills, with the ability to oversee the quality control process from mill to lab. Excellent attention to both detail and results. Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and strong organisational skills to manage testing workflows, documentation, sample tracking, and reporting timelines.
Collaboration:Proven ability to maintain professional interpersonal relationships and work as part of a team. Communication:Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) to relay important quality control findings in an accessible way. Problem-solving:Ability to efficiently learn and execute best practices to solve common quality problems.
