A Buyer at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Procurement team supporting efforts to maintain and optimize inventory and coordinate logistics. This position involves maintaining inventory levels, coordinating freight, and assisting inventory and buying teams and is ideal for someone who has analytical skills, organizational skills, and is detail orientated.
Requirements
Market Analysis and CollaborationWork with sales team to analyze market conditions and competitive activity Assist in developing sales and market plans Utilize supplier lead times to maximize company advantages Respond to sales requests for research and sourcing new products Logistics CoordinationEnsure adherence to delivery schedules by-product transport carriers Prepare purchase orders for daily receiving and provide transportation instructions Track freight and confirm purchase orders for inbound shipments Administrative Support and Customer ServiceCross-train with buyers and inventory control for coverage Update bid sheets and handle various accounts in sales Print and distribute daily fresh product information Answer telephones and assist with inquiries Additional
