Summary: A Freezer Worker at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our Warehouse team supporting efforts to maintain efficient operations and regulatory compliance. This position involves maintaining product quality by inspecting products, properly tagging and rotating pallets, and adhering to HACCP plans and is ideal for someone who is organized, safety conscious, and proactive.
Freezer Operations: Able to review receiving documentation to ensure accuracy. Maintain the freezer configuration according to the approved layout for product, packaging, and equipment storage. Properly load a pallet to make sure loads are stable and secure.
Properly operate forklift, pallet jack, and other necessary powered equipment. Understand how to read and utilize pick tickets to pick, pack, and load orders. Verify that all return labels have been approved/checked prior to placing product back in inventory.
Ensure product is fully received, rotation is complete, and product is staged in the correct quantities. Safety and Compliance: Attend and participate in department meetings that cover safety, quality, and productivity issues. Clean up spills immediately or flag the area off, avoid blocking emergency exits, and report any potential hazards to a supervisor.
Follow all established safety rules and obey safety signs and tags. Ensure product is inspected for quality, product/pallets properly tagged and rotated. Understand and perform all the appropriate HACCP plans assigned.
Promptly report all needed repairs and ensure preventive maintenance is performed on your equipment.
Responsibilities
may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position. Education and Experience RequiredHigh school diploma or GED. One year’s experience in a warehouse in a freezer environment.
PreferredForklift and pallet jack experience. Forklift certification.
